In celebration of International Working Women’s Day (IWWD), we at The Partisan are sharing a report of events around the country to celebrate this important holiday of the working class. This day has been, and will continue to be celebrated as a day of struggle for the liberation of women. UNLEASH THE FURY OF WOMEN AS A MIGHTY FORCE FOR REVOLUTION! LONG LIVE INTERNATIONAL WORKING WOMEN’S DAY!

To commemorate International Working Women’s Day, revolutionary workers, community members, and youth in the United States organized actions and events to mobilize the masses around working women’s political and economic demands. Revolutionaries-in-formation marched in the streets and neighborhoods, held teach-ins and cultural events, and honored the heroes of the international revolutionary women’s movement. They tied these actions back to the particular demands of working and nationally oppressed women, as well as the LGBT masses, never separating their struggles from the class struggle of the multinational working-class as a whole against the US capitalist system.

Workers, youth, and allied community members, organized by revolutionary mass organizations like the People’s Defense Committee, New Labor Organizing Committee, and Revolutionary Student Union, mobilized under the banner of slogans like “Forge A Revolutionary Women’s Movement!” and “Unleash the Fury of Women as a Mighty Force for Revolution!” They distributed copies of the new revolutionary women’s magazine La Obrera and other literature, and raised struggle against local abusers and misogynists in their area. They presented forms of struggle, like women’s grievance committees or departments in sectoral labor, student and neighborhood mass organizations, and connected them to campaigns such as the Neighborhood Defense Unit initiative. In some areas, like Georgia, they faced severe repression from the class enemy, with police threatening to open fire on the crowd and suffering arrests.

The US imperialists fear the rising tide of mass rebellion domestically and abroad, and vainly seek to crush the masses with the twin weapons of repression and co-optation. By taking class struggle as the key link, and centering the struggle against opportunism in the women’s movement and elsewhere, on this International Working Women’s Day and every day after the workers and their class allies are forging an invincible road to socialist revolution and the overthrow of imperialism in the United States.

Below we present a few sample photos from the IWWD actions and events held by revolutionaries-in-formation in dozens of cities and towns around the country in 2026.
