Today we are happy to be launching the first in a new weekly educational series The Partisan is hosting for activists nationally on the principles of our class, the modern industrial working-class i.e. the proletariat. There are no armchair revolutionaries at The Partisan; every contributor and participant in our publication has direct experience in the daily struggles of our class, and our attempts to forge those struggles as levers in service of the conquest of political power through socialist revolution. When designing our publication schedule, our editorial board discussed how in our experience, because of the severe underdevelopment of the revolutionary movement in the United States, many comrades and even leaders around the country still struggle to grasp and understand basic principles of our class in spite of whatever titles and terms they might refer to themselves as. Thus we have designed this series around providing relatively short, but incisive, pieces that will summarize the basic principles of our class, the international proletariat, and our ideology, Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.
